Anyone hear of this?
Nano Ceramic Bore Liner. This looks like it might be well worth the 80 bucks if it does what it claims.

Huh....if applied properly.....
too many buzzwords to me.... |
Re: Anyone hear of this?
I might be led to believe that a ceramic nano-coating manufactured into a barrel would make for a more rugged rifling. I think only a sucker would believe you can just squeeze the crap out and it magically fixes the the rifling (complete obturation!) and prevents further damage from taking place. I might even be a little more inclined not to immediately toss the BS flag if the application instructions involved baking the barrel as opposed to squeezing, swabbing and firing rounds to set it.

....and when it starts to flake.....what then? How does it adhere to the metal?

Check out NanoLube on this board... http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/...d.php?t=284835 NanoLube Test Results: http://thefiringline.com/forums/show...52#post2937552 Would be nice if all we had to worry about was whether a Nano-particle 'ceramic" coating in the bore of our rifles was effective. Interesting tho. |
